Even the smallest bits of help move the needle. 🙂

I’m starting this week’s update with some sad news. On Sunday, Ray (KK6AM) passed peacefully and became a silent key. If you’ve attended a net on W6EK in the last 5+ years, you’ve heard Ray. It goes without saying but he will be deeply missed within our “ham family”. Thomas, Christina, and Steven (Ray’s son), would love to get together, break bread, and tell some fun Ray stories. We even plan to throw a few back in his honor

It may not be happening this week (or next) but we’re REALLY starting to get excited about Hamfest 2026. This is the club’s biggest fundraiser year after year and this year, we’re celebrating our 10 year anniversary!!
New or old to SFARC? We’re in desperate need of more help. Last year it took over 60 volunteers to make it happen — consider going to https://hamfest.w6ek.org , click Volunteer / Help / Contact Us.
If you’re not available on the day of the event, you can still help!!! Make a QST on any of the nets you attend. VHF, HF, it doesn’t matter, people come from hundreds of miles to attend.
