That’s A Wrap!
Preliminary numbers are in! With 130+ attendees visiting Georgetown Airport over the weekend, making 1,428 contacts across 12 countries, whew, WHAT A FIELD DAY!!!! A big shout out to the setup and cleanup crew (pictured above) who worked hard to make sure everyone had a good time. Thanks to each of you for making the 2025 SFARC Field Day weekend a HUGE success. Results will be posted soon.
THE SFARC FALL CAMPOUT IS BACK FOR 2025!
Each year, SFARC members get together for some fun in the Sierras. This year we’re headed back up to Stampede Reservoir’s Logger Campground. All members and guests are welcome to come for the whole weekend or just a day trip. The weekend includes a movie night, at least one fox hunt, corn hole, horseshoes, board games, more s’mores than you could ever imagine, some great meals, and tons more fun activities; all back for 2025!
This is a family-friendly event for all ages, so bring your kids or grandkids.
You do not need to be a ham or even be interested in amateur radio to attend.

Next VE Exam Date – August 4, 2025
Looking for a local location to take your amateur radio license or upgrade exam? Sierra Foothills VE Team provides in-person exam sessions on the 1st Monday evening of the month.
Scholarships are available for new hams, who are under 21 years old and enrolled in an 
education program. The scholarship reimburses the cost of your exam and provides a study guide for the next license level.
