Looking Forward

From the VP

Our November 11 SFARC Club meeting marked the end of regular club meetings for the 2022 year.  On December 10 we will have our annual SFARC Holiday Celebration.  More can be found on this fantastic event on this same site.

Thank you to all those who turned out in-person and via Zoom for our November club meeting.  We held our annual elections for 2023 club officers and Smitty, WB1G, provided an excellent overview of the updated club website. An excellent job by all those involved in the IT Summit and on behalf of SFARC, thank you for the long hours, hard work and great outcome. If you missed Smitty’s overview it is available in the club video archives.

Our next club meeting will be on Friday, January 13, at the Crossroads church in Auburn, 7:30 PM.  The meeting will also be available via Zoom for those who cannot attend in person, but in person attendance is always strongly encouraged.  Why?  It a great opportunity to meet and socialize with fellow HAMs, exchange ideas on what you are working on and what others are working on, have fun, it allows you to donate to the church’s food drive which then supports those in need in our community, and our presenters really appreciate the in-person interaction with an audience.  All good things.

For our January meeting, Greg, KO6TH, is working on another great mystery “Show Us Your Shack”, Brian, AI6US and Doug, W2VX, will provided a quick overview of improvements made to the W6EK repeater site, and Dennis, WU6X, is going to present some new contesting tools that he has had great success with.

73s, be safe and enjoy.
Greydon KC6SLE, VP SFARC
