General Club Meeting (July 14 – Main Page Promo)

FIELD DAY MAY BE OVER BUT WE’VE GOT SOME MORE FUN IN-STORE.

Our next general club meeting is coming up on July 14th and we’ve got a few presentations lined up including a 2023 Field Day wrap-up and a presentation by Evan (AJ6OR) on his highly successful radio direction-finding skills! If you’ve been following SFARC’s RDF Fox Hunts, you know that Evan has consistently been finding the “Fox” well ahead of the pack.  Now he is going to share his secret with us.

All our welcome at the meeting Friday, July 14th @ 7:30 PM in the club Zoom room. Due to a scheduling conflict at the church, there will be no in-person attendance.

FIeld Day Is Almost Here (Front Page Promo)

IT’S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN TO FIELD DAY!

Thank you KK7AIR, Scott for once again inviting us to the Georgetown Airport Campground for another Field Day fly-in event! Thank you for hosting us!

The airport has a very nice shaded private campground, which is accessed by a side road on the West side of the runway. There is running potable water, two restrooms with sinks, and a cold shower. The site has a good amount of shade and picnic tables, but you might consider bringing a pop-up or canopy along with comfortable lawn chairs for socializing, relaxing, and eating. The camping area is perfect for tents and small RVs. 5th wheel, larger bumper pull trailers along with class A coaches will park across the runway near the hangars. There are no hook-ups or dump stations.
