In preparation for the clubs renewal season, we’ve got a BIG giveaway for the club meeting. We’re giving away a Yaesu FT-70D and entering to win is BEYOND EASY!!! We’ve got another fun week ahead of us with a breakfast, a fox hunt, and a meeting right around the corner.
 
CLUB BREAKFAST – THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH
Join the club this Saturday at 0730 for breakfast at Mel’s in Auburn. Come early or sit at the kids table. 🙂
 
FOX HUNT – THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH
After the club breakfast at Mel’s we’re going to go out and hunt some foxes! We’ll be firing up a 1-watt “Baofox” on 146.565 Mhz at 0930. Our fox hunts are family and pet friendly, anyone can participate, and no license is required! If you’ve never done a fox hunt before, rusty, or if you don’t have radio direction finder equipment, ask to ride along with an experienced fox hunter. LINCOLN HAMFEST – THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16TH
The Lincoln Hamfest is sponsored by the Western Placer Amateur Radio Club. If you’re interested in becoming a seller, join WPARC in the bandstand parking lot of McBean Park, 65 McBean Park Drive (Highway 193) in Lincoln @ 0600 with a crisp $10 bill. CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR GEORGE (KG6LSB), THIS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH
George Simmons (KG6LSB) was a beloved club member and friend of SFARC. Earlier this year, George became a silent key. A celebration of life will be at 10 AM on September 17 at VFW Hall at 100 East Street in Auburn. Everyone is welcome!
