Thank you KK7AIR, Scott for once again inviting us to the Georgetown Airport Campground for another Field Day fly-in event! Thank you for hosting us!
Please take this short survey so we know how to plan for Field Day. We have already had quite a bit of interest in this event and typically have quite the turnout. Please let us know if you will be able to help set up on Friday, operate a station, break-down camp, what meals you will attend and if you will be camping.
Breakfasts, Saturday dinner, and water will be provided by SFARC. NOTE: The BBQ dinner is hosted by RSVP and not a potluck. Please consider a small contribution towards the increased food budget and bring a few items for the community snack table (individual serving items contributed by attendees).
On Friday evening, those who want pizza will chip in on a group buy and the pizzas will be picked up in Georgetown and brought to camp around 5 pm.
The airport has a very nice shaded private campground, which is accessed by a side road on the West side of the runway. There is running potable water, two restrooms with sinks, and a cold shower. The site has a good amount of shade and picnic tables, but you might consider bringing a pop-up or canopy along with comfortable lawn chairs for socializing, relaxing, and eating. The camping area is perfect for tents and small RVs. 5th wheel, larger bumper pull trailers along with class A coaches will park across the runway near the hangars. There are no hook-ups or dump stations.
