DOES SFARC STORE MY CREDIT CARD DATA?

No, SFARC uses reputable payment processors to conduct transactions.  A payment processor is a vendor businesses use to manage the logistics of accepting card payments. It shuttles card data from wherever customers tap, swipe or enter their card details to the payment networks — such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover — and banks involved in the transaction.

Fall Campout (Page)

DATE: September 16th – 19th, 2027
WHERE: Stampede Reservoir, Logger Campground (Double Bit Loop)

Each year, SFARC members gather for a fun-filled weekend in the Sierra Nevada mountains. For 2027, we’re back at Stampede Reservoir’s Logger Campground with a new basecamp location at sites 243/238.  All members and guests are welcome to attend for the entire weekend or for a day trip.

The weekend includes fox hunts, movie nights, great food, games, and if you look hard enough, you’ll likely find someone with a radio doing POTA activities. This is a family-friendly event for all ages, so bring your family, kids, and/or grandkids.

We’ve prepared a list of frequently asked questions, which can be found in the navigation menu below. We recommend that all attendees review and familiarize themselves with the FAQs.

This is a BYO campsite event. Please click “Reserve a Campsite” below to be redirected to Recreation.gov to reserve your site.

Part of what makes the campout great is that it stays loose and unplanned. Still, make sure to check out the general rhythm of things below.
