DATE: September 17th – 20th, 2026
WHERE: Stampede Reservoir, Logger Campground (Double Bit Loop)
Each year, SFARC members gather for a fun-filled weekend in the Sierra Nevada mountains. For 2026, we’re back at Stampede Reservoir’s Logger Campground. All members and guests are welcome to attend for the entire weekend or for a day trip.
The weekend includes fox hunts, movie nights, great food, games, and if you look hard enough, you’ll likely find someone with a radio doing POTA activities. This is a family-friendly event for all ages, so bring your family, kids, and/or grandkids.
We’ve prepared a list of frequently asked questions, which can be found in the navigation menu below. We recommend that all attendees review and familiarize themselves with the FAQs.
This is a BYO campsite event. Please click “Reserve a Campsite” below to be redirected to Recreation.gov to reserve your site.
Part of what makes the campout great is that it stays loose and unplanned. Still, make sure to check out the general rhythm of things below.
