THAT’S A WRAP, FIELD DAY 2025 UPDATE Preliminary numbers are in! With 130+ attendees visiting Georgetown Airport over the weekend making 1,428 contacts across 12 countries, we had ourselves a GREAT Field Day 2025. A big shout out to the setup and cleanup crew (pictured below) who worked hard to make sure everyone had a good time. Thanks to each and every one of you for making the 2025 SFARC Field Day weekend a HUGE success. Club results will be posted once finalized. SFARC FALL CAMPOUT UPDATE September is fast approaching the SFARC Fall Campout planning is underway! If you plan to join us, here's the skinny. * 5 campsites remain in the "SFARC Loop" (map available on the website). * There are plenty of campsites available on the adjacent loop (1 minute walk) * RSVP's are now open. If you plan to join us and you've reserved a site, go to www.w6ek.org/activities/campout/rsvp * The Fall Campout Resource Center has a bunch of additional information regarding the campout and what to expect. * T-Shirt and merch are now available.

July 2025 Meeting

Our next club meeting will take place on July 11 at 7:30 PM at the Confluence Church Gym in Auburn, California and on Zoom at zoom.w6ek.org. Jeff (AK6OK) will show the club how to make use of lab-grade test instrumentation to help with antenna design, complete with live demonstrations and hands-on experimentation. Scott (KM6RFB) has made some major upgrades to the Placer County ARES website, and he’ll present to us all the new features and information that can be found there.

Hey SFARC Members and Friends, It’s a quiet pre Field Day week with a few callouts.
1. The RSVP deadline for Field Day is THIS Saturday (06/21). You can still come and visit without an RSVP but if you plan to eat any meals with us, this is the last call. 2. The final Field Day planning meeting is next Tuesday (6/24) @ 7PM in the club Zoom room. That’s it! 🙂 _ ___ _ ___ _ ___

We’ll keep this short and sweet this week. With less than two weeks before RSVPs close for Field Day, the sooner you let us know you’re coming, the easier it is for us meal planning. ANTENNA/STATION PLANNING We've got an Antenna Planning Meeting coming up tomorrow night @ 7PM (Monday, June 9th) in the club Zoom room. STATION/SHIFT SIGN UPS We've received a few questions about station sign ups. We'll be launching sign ups soon once we complete the antenna planning meeting and have a good sense of what stations we'll have setup. SHIRTS AND MERCH Shirts, coffee mugs and a bunch of fun merch can be found @ www.w6ek.org/merch Standard shipping lead time is June 14-17 so you’ll want to get on this soon or you might have to pay for expensive shipping if you want to get your stuff by Field Day.

Congratulations New Hams

Let’s give it up to the 9 people who got a new ham license at Monday’s SFARC VE session. Congratulations to Lane Albright, Thomas Alling, Isaac Chan, Ethan Crow, Michael Kryss, Jackson Rhinehart, Taylor Thompson, and Jonathan Wenk; all getting their Technician license. And a double congrats to Quinten Williams, who took his tech and general back to back and passed them both with flying colors. Congratulations new hams from SFARC.
