Hamtrak** is a biennial (every two years) trip taken by a large group of SFARC members to Reno on Amtrak. While it’s not an “official club event”, its deserving of its own space on our website. We take the California Zephyr on a beautiful and scenic ride from Roseville to Reno, a 5-hour journey through the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. If we’re lucky, we even get snowed on; it’s a truly wonderful trip.
