WHAT IS HAMTRAK?

Hamtrak** is a biennial (every two years) trip a large group of SFARC members takes to Reno by Amtrak. While it’s not an “official club event”, it deserves its own space on our website. We take the California Zephyr on a beautiful and scenic ride from Roseville to Reno, a 5-hour journey through the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. If we’re lucky, we even get snowed on; it’s a truly wonderful trip.
